Spring is in the air! These oils can help you better enjoy your time outdoors!

Aaaah, spring time is upon us at long last!  The birds are singing, the bees are buzzing, the flowers are in full bloom, and there is pollen on the breeze.  Spring is in the air, if you catch my drift.  If you are a person who tends to get itchy and sneezy being outside during the spring season, this essential oil trio is for you.  I never experienced this reaction to the outdoors until after I was pregnant with my daughter, but now I am very much susceptible but I am so glad I was introduced to this dynamic trio.

When you want to stay your happy, breathing easy self no matter what is out there in the air, these three oils can offer you the support you need.  Just add 5 drops of lavender, 4 drops of lemon and 3 drops of peppermint essential oils to your cold water diffuser.  By the way, all three of these oils and a cold water diffuser come in the Premium Starter Kit, so if you haven’t already you can grab yours here by clicking on this link.  Be sure to click “wholesale membership” as it’s the only way to get a kit and 24% off your oils. 🙂

Diffusing this trio is great when you’re at home or at the office, but if you’re on the run, you can take Lavender Vitality, Lemon Vitality and Peppermint Vitality essential oils in an empty veggie capsule topped with avocado oil or an edible carrier oil of your choosing.  (Note: Young Living’s Vitality oils are the only essential oils which have been specifically labeled for ingestion as a dietary supplement and approved by the FDA, so please do NOT try this with other essential oil brands, even those labeled as organic. You can read more about why that is here.) I personally love the convenience of squirting Young Living’s V-6 oil from the pump bottle or filling a glass eye dropper bottle with my favorite local organic avocado oil. Either one will do!  If your reaction to being outdoors is very severe, you can also add Copaiba Vitality to the mix, which by the way is also included in your Premium Starter Kit.

Some people like to apply these oils to the bridge of the nose topically, but I do not recommend doing that as lemon essential oil is photosensitive, meaning it can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.  If you want to take these oils on the go but are not comfortable ingesting them, you can pre-mix this trio in one of your mini glass drams (from your Premium Starter Kit) and carry it in your purse. Then when you need support, simply drip a drop of your pre-mixed blend into the palm of your non-dominant hand, rotate your hands together a few times clockwise and then inhale deeply from your hands with a few deep breaths.  You can do this as needed.

I hope you enjoy some time in the sunshine this spring season!  Let me know if you’ve tried this trio and what you think!  It smells wonderfully together, and I think you’ll love it if you haven’t tried it already.  Thanks for reading, friend!  Bye for now…

20 Diffuser Recipes For Fall

20 diffuser recipes for fall

Hey friends!  I hope you guys are enjoying fall so far!  Me?  Well, I’m just going to have to pretend for now because San Diego hasn’t gotten the memo that it’s supposed to be fall and we’re in the middle of a crazy heat wave at the moment.  But that’s ok, because I can create my own sweater weather in the meantime with my a/c and I can trick my subconscious mind with all the autumn smells wafting through the air courtesy of my diffuser.  Yay for autumn smells!

If you follow me regularly you may recall a recent blog I wrote on scented candles and why you should avoid them like the plague.  Think cancer, asthma and many other terrible things you don’t want for yourself or for your family.  Long story short, most scented candles are highly toxic and release undesirable chemicals into the air, which you then breathe in and take into your lungs and into your blood stream.  It’s not worth it, friends.  Just say no to toxic scented candles!

How To Stop Procrastination with Motivation Essential Oil Blend

get-stuff-done-liquid-motivation-diffuser-recipe

As an Aries girl, when I feel motivated to act on my ideas I am truly unstoppable.  Need help starting a project?  I am totally your girl.  Once in a while, though, procrastination strikes.  I lose my steam and then I have piles of unfinished projects allover the place, both literally and figuratively.  A few months ago I ordered Motivation essential oil blend for the first time because I kept hearing rave reviews about its effectiveness.  While I love love LOVE my essential oils, I must say I was a little bit skeptical about the claims people made about this one.  How in the world can an oil stop you from procrastinating?  Read on, my friend.

Motivation essential oil blend was formulated by Young Living’s D. Gary Young to help people overcome their fears and especially their procrastination.  It was created to help people take action in their lives.  Motivation is a blend of Roman Chamomile, Spruce, Ylang Ylang and Lavender essential oils.  Let’s take a closer look at each ingredient to shed some light on why this blend works so well.

  • Roman Chamomile: This essential oil was used by ancient Romans to help them clear their minds and to help empower them before they headed into battle.  This oil is very calming and soothing and is believed to help one overcome their fears.
  • Spruce: This essential oil is very grounding to the body.  It helps to create the balance and opening necessary to give and to receive.  It creates a feeling of empowerment and encouragement.
  • Ylang Ylang: Derived from flowers, this oil may help balance the male-female energies to help you to better tune in spiritually.  It is great for focusing the mind on the present moment, filtering out unwanted noise and bringing back feelings of self-love, confidence, peace and joy. It is also a well known aphrodisiac, ladies.
  • Lavender: Perhaps one of the most well known essential oils on Earth, lavender has traditionally been known to balance the body wherever there is a need.  It may help promote consciousness, health, love, peace and a general sense of well-being.

I love to diffuse Motivation essential oil along with orange essential oil, because orange essential oil is so cheery, uplifting and invigorating.  It works beautifully with Motivation.  I like to add 3 drops of each essential oil to my office diffuser before I get started on writing content or editing pictures.  Sometimes, when I want to nudge my husband to get busy on the honey-do-list, I will add this blend to the downstairs diffuser and he won’t know what hit him.  It springs him into action like no ones business, and after a few hours of extreme productivity he’ll say “Did you put Motivation in the diffuser again?”  Cracks me up every time.  True story.

I also find it helpful to diffuse this blend before starting daunting tasks, like the never ending piles of laundry and dishes.  Sometimes I put it in the diffuser to help me start the dishes, and the next thing I know I’m scrubbing baseboards and tackling the garage.  It’s wild.  Have you tried Motivation essential oil blend?  What has your experience been?  Let me know in the comments below.  If you want to grab your own bottle of liquid Motivation at the wholesale price (24% off) then follow this link to become a member and then add it to your kit.  If you’re already a wholesale member, simply log into the Virtual Office and add it to your cart.  It is so worth it, I promise you.  Thanks for reading, friends!  I hope to connect with you soon.
