Oh, hey you! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m assuming you want more info on how to become a Joyful Oiler, so first let’s chat about what that actually means. The Joyful Oilers are a tribe of Young Living essential oil enthusiasts. We are all about spreading JOY, LOVE and, of course, sharing our essential oils. Some of us “do the business” because it helps us to help people (and bonus: it pays for our oil obsession) but that is never EVER a requirement to be a Joyful Oiler.

If you do what most of us have done and buy a Premium Starter kit that just means you get to take advantage of wholesale pricing. Yes, it also means you’re *eligible* to “do the business”, but again, we will never pressure you to do that. Ever. Also, please don’t worry. Buying a kit and becoming a member does not obligate you to a monthly shipment. You don’t have to buy a certain dollar amount every month and there are no hidden membership fees. Buying a Premium Starter Kit automatically makes you a wholesale member, so you get to save 24% off of the retail price. I dunno about you, but I love saving money!

Here are some detailed instructions on how to order a kit. It can feel a little overwhelming for some, but I am happy to walk you through it.

I HIGHLY recommend that you grab a Premium Starter Kit for $160. It is the best kit to get you started on your oily journey, and at only $160 it offers you THE MOST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. As I mentioned above, it comes with 11 bottles of essential oil including 5ml bottles of Lavender, Peppermint, Lemon, Frankincense, Thieves, Purification, PanAway, DiGize, RC, Copaiba and Stress Away. Individually these oils run $15-$73 each so purchasing the kit saves you a ton of money. Got it? Ok, here we go!

Step 2: Choose “Member” to receive a 24% discount on all Young Living products. Remember, there is NO requirement to sell a Young Living product, ever, and there is no minimum to buy each month as a member. Important: If you choose “retail customer” a kit is not available to you and you will have to pay full retail price on all of your oils.

Step 3: Make sure my member numbers are in the Sponsor ID and Enroller ID fields (they should be put there if you entered with that link in step 1 – 3471989. (See photo above.) After you click “continue” this box will pop up and you will know you’ve done it right. 🙂

Then…

Step 4: Choose your starter kit and diffuser. (See pic below.) The Premium Starter Kit with the Dewdrop or Home diffuser will be selected by default, so if that’s what you want you can proceed, otherwise, upgrade to the diffuser that you prefer. Scroll down.

Step 5: Next they will ask you about a monthly auto ship, Essential Rewards. (See pic above.) This is NOT, I repeat NOT a requirement for wholesale membership, so feel free to ignore this and click continue. If you want to sign up for Essential Rewards (ER), more power to you! I love love LOVE ER because it earns me free oils every month on orders I’d be placing anyway, but again, this is totally optional! If you ignore the box, this message will pop up:

If you don’t want a monthly auto ship, then click the “Proceed to Checkout” button on the right.

Step 6: Finally we come to the membership information page. Fill out your personal information. Create a username, password (with at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 number) and 4 digit PIN number. It’s very important that you write these things down so you can remember them as they will be needed to contact customer service and log in to place additional orders in the future.

Step 7: Select your tax information choice. For most people it will be “Individual.” Fill out your info. Please note, they will ask for your SSN, but no worries. This will only be used if you earn $600 this year sharing Young Living products, but if you have no plans on trying the business then this won’t affect you at all. If you do end up making $600 or more then they’ll send you a 1099 form in the mail, because it’s required by law. Young Living will never share this info with anyone. Just so you are very clear, this information will only be used if you decide the business side of Young Living is something you want to do. Again, The Joyful Oilers will never pressure you to do that and it is never a requirement to keep your 24% discount. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and then click “Agree and Continue.”

Step 8: Select your shipping method. If you need your oils to be shipped faster than the carrier, you may indicate that here by choosing the faster method. Please note that choosing faster shipping does not rush the packing of your items and shipping can still take up to 10 business days. It is usually faster but we want to make sure you know what to expect. Fill out your billing information, address etc. Click “next.”

Step 9: Double check that all the info is correct and then click the button that says “Activate and Checkout.” Your account will not be created until that button is clicked. See the photo below. 🙂

Step 10: You can add additional oils if you want, but otherwise you’re all done. If you need help supporting a specific body system, just ask me and I’ll help you out. Your membership will stay active as long as you spend at least $50 in a calendar year. You do NOT have to continue to “renew” your membership and there are NO membership fees.
